how to calculate cement plaster for wall.

For cement plaster there are following steps.

Step 1.

First of all take measurements normally we take measurements for cement plaster in Sft or Sqm . 

Lenght *Height

For example we calculating cement plaster 10 *10 ft = 100 sft

We need to convert this quantity in to cft for this we multiple this quantity with thickness of plaster like if plaster laying in thickness of 3/4"

100*0.06 = 6cft

3/4" = 0.06 ft

Step 2.

This quantity is wet martial quantity we need dry material quantity for calculate .

For dry quantity we multiple quantity with 1.27 

6*1.27 = 7.62 cft dry material

Now we need ratio of cement plaster if ratio is 1:4 

Sum of ratio is 1+4 = 5

For calculation of cement

1/5* 7.62 = 1.524 cft

now 1 bag of cement have 1.25 cft

1.22 bags or cement used in100 Sft 3/4 " thick  plaster.
